Items and Upgrade Components in World of Warcraft
Upgrading items can be a great way to increase the value of your weapon and armor. However upgrading common equipment isn't worth the cost as rare or unusual equipment will outclass it quickly.
A product can be upgraded up to six times. Each upgrade will add points to the gauge of level of the item.
Glyphs
Glyphs are the item upgrade materials that can be used to enhance the attributes of an item. Glyphs are often used to improve the performance of a weapon or armor however they can also be used to upgrade an earring, hat necklace, or other accessory. Glyphs can be found in various levels and are offered by vendors in Deneb. They can be very costly however they are worth the investment as they can boost the stats of an item.

In addition to the regular letters, glyphs can also contain special characters like arrows and mathematical symbols. There are several types of glyphs and fonts can contain many variants. The glyphs that are default in Adobe Caslon(tm) Pro, for example, include all of the common characters, as well as ornaments, swashes, and ligatures.
